Aunty Lei Jensen,(1935-2008) was born in Wailuku, Maui, to the parents of Emily and Arthur Enos of Maui.
Aunty Lei, attended schools in Maui and Oahu. She attended Brigham Young University, in Provo and received an Associates degree from the Church College of Hawaii, now known as BYU Hawaii, in L’ie, Oahu. She worked briefly in food services, real estate, and for Cerritos Unified School District. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many church positions. Lei was active as a member of the ‘Ahahui ‘o Lili’uokalani Hawaiian Civic Club of Southern California and the Hawaii’s Daughters Guild. She is very talented, and managed Lei’s Boutique of California.
Lei and her husband, John, have four children; John Jr., Jeffery Kamaka, Stuart Kumakalehua, and Joni Leilani; twelve grandchildren, Justin, Denica, Dane, Kealani, Kaehukai, Keoni, Kekoa, Imaikalani, Kawika, Kumakalehua, Shawn, and Jesse; four great grandchildren, Kyle, Jacob, Joseph and Malia.
